Knee Strength

Do you frequently suffer from knee pain due to daily activities or past injuries? If you have been cleared for exercise, consider strengthening the muscles surrounding the knee. Rather than adopting a "take it easy" approach, maintaining long-term knee health involves building strength in the appropriate areas. If you are currently experiencing pain, it is important to rest. Utilize ice, stretching, and joint-friendly foods and supplements to aid in recovery. However, if your goal is to prevent future pain, we recommend trying these exercises. Many of these exercises are available in our Thursday morning weights class at 8:30 am.
